I'm also very happy because I have officially finished school for the year.
Bring on two whole months of holidays!
Today, i was very luck to find artist Jade Klara. She has the most beautiful artwork. Sigh, i really do wish I could do this kind of stuff. See her blog here.

a whole week,

Just thought I should let you know that you won't be seeing any posts from me for a whole week, as my dad is borrowing my computer for something :(
I'll make it up to you when I get it back i swear!
But i'll leave you with another one of my favourites by Nirrimi.

more than lovely,

Through my eyes I can see a shooting star

Weaving its way across the sea, somewhere from mars

Down the street we would run to scratch our names in the path

Young and free in the sun, wheels upon the tar.

Totally in love with Nirrimi's photography. It is so amazing, i cannot even express.
I have my dance concert tonight, wish me luck!

Go Forth, Find Mammoth

Right now i am sitting on my bed, listening to the crickets chirp outside. it has been really hot here lately, which kinda sucks. I hate the heat, i don't cope to well in it. I'm more of a winter type girl. Sitting in front of the fire with a hot choccy all rugged up. That would definately be one of my favourite passtimes. I'm looking forward to school finishing for the year. I have two assignments and one test due on friday and then two other tests next week. but on next thursday afternoon i will very, very happy, when it is all over and i can just chill. Whats even more exciting is that I have Woodford folk festival to look forward too. Thanks to my lovelie friend jerri-lee, i'm able to go! It's going to be so much fun wearing gumboots and sloshing through the mud, eating hari krishna day in and day out, have tea in the chai tent, and most of all seeing the bands! How could i miss out on the likes of Lisa Mitchell, Whitley, Hungry Kids Of Hungary, John Butler Trio and the Middle East! Can you tell how excited i am?? haha.

how cute is whitley? I adore him :) (his latest album is called Go Forth, Find Mammoth.)
well i hope everyone else is having a good week.
talk to me!

ginger kittens,

Ok, so if you read frankie you might remember 'the cats meow' photoshoot in issue 23. I really like all of those photographs in that photoshoot. But it is the ginger kittens that I have fallen in love with. Whenever I see that one picture in the magazine I just melt inside. For those of you who don't read Frankie (why not??) I have posted some pictures that although don't have quite the same effect on me, are still pretty gorgeous. I hope everyone is having a good week!

give it up for nostalgia, !

I don't have anything to exciting to share with you today, just a story.
On sunday i went with my mum and dad for moning tea with an old friend of my mums. My mum had just been to a 30 year reunion for her school and was getting together again with someone she had been close to in highschool. Morning tea turned into lunch, and lunch turned into dinner. Everyone was saying how good i was to be there and that i must be bored. But truthfully, i really enjoyed watching these guys have so much fun, feeling like they were teenagers again. Full with nostalgia. It kind of made me look forward to doing the same thing when im older. Almost made me want to lose touch with some of my friends when i leave school.

almost.

but it did make me want to curl up and listen to nostalgia by Lisa Mitchell.

sigh. xo.

in the kitchen,

And so the summer days come around once again..
Today I had the day off school, which gave me a chance to relax and sleep in which i don't get to do too often. I also used the chance to do some cooking. I made some sushi and banana bread. I know that might seem like an odd combination but i've been craving them both so badly lately. The sushi worked out great and my dad and i had most of it for lunch. He seemed to like it so i'll take his word for that. :)
The banana bread although still turning out as scrumtious as banana bread normally is, didn't really do as well. I admit I didn't directly follow the recipe, but there was nothing that i changed that should of thrown it off. The bread didn't seem to rise so i was left with a very, very thin square banana bread. And it wasn't quite as brown as the last time i cooked it either. Oh well, my parents both said to blame it on the oven which I will happily do.

I hope you like this picture that I found. I thought it was really cute. Leave me a comment and let me know what you've been up to! xo. B
