Paranormal activity & fuit mince pies...

Hey everybody hope you are all well.
Just a little post to let you know where i'm at.
Today i went to the movies to see paranormal activity. I was really excited because i love scary movies. Although most of the movie was kind of boring and kind of not really scary, the end freaked me out so much that me and my best friend Pearl (who frequently screamed throughout the whole movie making all of us laugh) leaned into eachother and bumbed heads. Ahaha, anyway, if you are unsure whether to see it or not, i would reccomend waiting till it comes out on dvd if you want a good scare, because it is kind of hard to get freaked out in a cinema full of people that are laughing, talking and pretending to be scared. Just a thought :) I think if i was home alone watching that movie at night I wouldnt go to sleep that night. Seriously, because it's a true story....

I like images like this that really bring out the red. I forget where i got this from, sorry. :(

Enough about scary movies, haha. On another note I thought i would share that I am very into the fruit mince pies at the moment. My dad brought some home (from coles, i know) and i didn't think i would like them but discovered i did! So i was just wondering if anyone has any recipes they could suggest because I would love to give it a go at making it, as it is the season! It would be great if you could. :)

So I guess that's enough about me now.
What has everybody else been up to?

It's ok to fall apart sometimes,

"And she moves on so fast, never letting herself get too attached, never letting herself feel how broken she really is."

"The sky isn't always blue. The sun doesn't always shine. So it's ok to fall apart sometimes."

Thankyou Wilkosz + Way.

How is  everybody?

An award!

yay! I got my first blog award :) I am absolutely thankful to Ducks Like Tea who gave me two awards.

The first award, was a challenge in which i had to find 7 things in my room that were pink. At first i thought this would be easy.... but then i discovered that i don't have as many pink things as i thought i did.

number one. my pink teacup & saucer, which i really really cherish.

number two. the pink babushka doll from my set that i got at a cute shop called I Hate My Skirt at the Gold Coast.

number three. this lovely little owly that i made. It's kind of copied off someone elses of course, but im proud of it none the less.

number four. My beutifully scented candles. I swear i could eat them....

number five. They are called kirigami, you do all this hectic cutting and the finished product looks something like that. They are all lined up along the tops of the walls in my room.

number six. My quilt and pillow cover. Thinking of getting a new one soon though.

number seven. My Little Pony.... with the pink hair :)

I hope you like the pictures i took, thought i'd try ti make them at least a little bit good.
And now for the second part of my award. I have to say 7 random facts about myself, and seven things im loving at the moment. I decided i would just do seven things im loving at the moment.

which are-
1. I'm loving being on holidays even if it means not doing anything at all. Just not being at school is good.
2. I'm loving blogging! There are so many inspirational people and blogs out there; i really can't get enough,
3. I am quite liking the book im reading at the moment, which is called The Luxe.
4. I loovveee pretty floral one piece bathing suits and am currently trying to find myself one. As well as a nice maxi dress.
5. Magazines! There are so many out at the moment- i wish i could buy them all...But i am happy for the moment as i managed to get my dad to buy me Peppermint today. YAY!
6. The show Glee. It's so cool, i think i am in love with the teacher on it. And they sing the most awesome songs.
7. Owl City. I don't see how anybody could not love this band. They are so unbelievably awesome!

So that's it :)
But now i am suppost to give the award to seven more blogs. I have come up with these lovely four-

oh and i have to change the colour so i change it to purple.

Brick by Boring Brick,

I love this video clip. & its one of my most favourite songs.

Everything old,

Everyday the world evolves, into a place of new generations which in turn means new fashions, new technology, new lifestyles. And although i am pleased that these things come and go, sometimes i just wish i could travel back to the olden days. Preferably the late 1800's or the early 1900's. As i watched a movie last night and i read my book today, i discover and indulge into a world of trams or horse carriges, using manners and speaking appropriatley. And so i've made a list of everything old, that i want to embrace.

1. Old Books. The kind of ones that have language in it that i can't understand, but i try to read it anyway, and the ones that i can pick up and simply smell the mustiness and make me think about how far back the book actually dates.

2. Old Records and mixtapes. I don't know whether it's simply the old music that is on them, or the way they sound when they are played, but they make me smile.

3. Old fashion. The fashion, no one could forget the fashion. The 'dashing' dresses they wore to the balls and tight bodices, that kept them from breathing. Outstanding.

4. Old Mansions. With the marble poles and the curling steps leading up to second stories. With the parlours and the double kitchens.....

5. The elite. The ones that where called by their last names with a mrs or mr in front of it. They went to balls and did the waltz, and talked about who they were going to marry, and who was such a gentlemen and who wasn't. They had the personal servants and maids and new the right and wrong way to act....

So partway through this list i realised i can get any word and put old in front of it, that i love, but then the list would go on forever. But their is still the old plays, movies, carriges, photgraphs......

although i think you get my point.

Ginger Lilly Tea,

Just thought I should share another photographer that I discovered and really like. Keri-Anne's (of Ginger Lilly Tea) images all have this dreamy kind of hazy feel about them. It's like there is a whole other would about them and i want to jump in and be a part of it.

You can buy prints of some photo's off her etsy shop here, or browse her flikr page here.
It is currently thundering a bit here at home. Hopefully we get a thunderstorm, i love the sound of thunder, the flash of lightning and the sound of raindrops pounding agianst the roof and soaking into the ground. But just like all the time lately, it probably won't happen.
I hope everyone has a nice night. XX b

Christmas is sweet,

Today I put up my christmas tree. All by myself :)
It's the first of the month, not to mention the first day of summer.
Christmas is only 25 days away!!
I really can't wait till this years christmas festives. It's got to be one of my most favourite times of the year. I love the way christmas is celebrated with the fairy lights, bon bons, and of course candy canes....

So the countdown till christmas day begins.
